The reason people don't switch
It is almost never the software. It is the fear of moving everything over, and most of this category charges you for the privilege.
White-glove onboarding is included on every subscription, at every portfolio size. There is no setup fee and no lock-in period.
A non-refundable onboarding fee, and implementation that typically runs three to nine months on Core, six to twelve on Plus and Max.
DoorLoop charges an onboarding fee scaled to portfolio size. Buildium makes onboarding mandatory on Growth and Premium. Neither publishes the amount.

Three things, in whatever format you already have them. A spreadsheet, a PDF, a folder of leases, or a rent roll export from your current platform.

Addresses and unit counts. If you have a rent roll, that alone is usually enough.
Current leases
So we can load terms, rent amounts, and dates without you retyping any of it.
Tenant contact info
Names, emails, and phone numbers, so we can invite your renters when you are ready.

The part landlords worry about most
Getting tenants onto a new platform is the step most landlords dread, because they are the ones who have to explain it. On Shuk, you do not.
We invite your renters and walk them through setup. If you would like us to keep following up with anyone who has not finished, we will. Either way you can see exactly who has onboarded and resend an invite in a tap.
- They download the app. iOS or Android, or they can use the web.
- They enter their lease code. This connects them to the right unit automatically, so there is nothing to look up.
- They connect their bank through Plaid. Rent, autopay, and reminders are live from that moment.

Yes, and at any size, whether you manage 1 unit or 1,000. Send us an export, a rent roll, or the lease documents themselves and we take it from there.
Yes. Onboarding is not a large-account perk on Shuk. A landlord with one unit gets the same setup as a manager with several hundred.
Property and unit details, your current leases, and tenant contact information. Whatever format you have them in is fine. You do not need to connect a bank account before we begin.
No. We invite your renters and guide them through setup, and each tenant needs about 10 to 15 minutes once invited. You can see who has finished at any time and resend an invite in a tap, and if you would like us to keep following up on your behalf, just say so.
Yes. Optional lease review is available before tenant invitations go out, so anything that needs correcting gets caught before your renters see it.
White-glove onboarding is an ongoing service, not a one-time handoff. Add a property next year and we set it up the same way. You can reach our team by phone, email, or in-app chat.
